Dear Region I IIMC Members:

Please join us for the annual Region I meeting on March 25 and 26, 2010 at the historical Biltmore Hotel in Providence, RI.

We will update you on happenings at IIMC and get your feedback to relay to the full board. Region I continues to be less active than the other regions in the country, and we need to change that by getting our members more involved in meetings, committee work and annual conferences. Please bring an item for the teacup auction to help raise funds for the Region I account. We will be guests of Sen. Betty Crowley Retired City Clerk of Central Falls, RI and Past President of the New England Association of City & Town Clerks. We are excited about the program she has planned for us at the State House.

You must reserve your room directly with the hotel by February 19th to get the guaranteed rate of $129.00 per room. Additional person charge is $20.00. We encourage car pooling as the overnight parking fee is $24.00. We have put together a two day package with events both days. You may sign up for one or both days.

Please register by March 5, 2010.

We look forward to meeting you and hearing your thoughts about our organization. See you in Providence!

COMMITTEE MEMBERS NEEDED AT IIMC

Applications are available on the IIMC website:  www.IIMC.com , click on Committees, for IIMC members to contribute to IIMC by joining a committee.  This is a good way to have a voice, both individually and for our region, in the IIMC organization.  Committees receive specific assignments and work by e-mail or teleconference.  We know there is a great deal of experience and talent among our Region I members, so please consider sharing that to help IIMC keep improving as an organization truly representative of its members.  The deadline for applications has been extended to January 30, 2010 to encourage more members to apply.
