NEMCI&A UPDATE....
The NEMCI&A Board of Directors met recently to review our budget and sadly report that our cupboards are almost bare. Good news is - we have paid our deposit to Plymouth State University; but in order to cover our costs, we will have to raise our fees a little this year.
We are raising them as little as possible in order to remain solvent and pay our bills. We know these are bad economic times and it is difficult for organizations to keep going without some sort of increases.
We have raised our fees $50.00 in the institute and Academy classes. The fees will be as follows: Institute 1, 2, and 3 will be $825.00. Academy A (Technology in the Workplace) and Academy B (Records, Records, Everywhere) are each $900. (If you take only part 1 or part 2 of the records program it would be $450.00 for 1 or 2). Academy C (Leadership Development) and Academy D (Parliamentary Procedures) are each $800. (Price differences vary according to labs and room rental charges). We are working hard to send out the brochure via email and on the website soon.
We would like to remind you that scholarships are for students whose town has denied funding for the institute or academy. We require a copy of the letter of denial from your accountant, finance director, administrator or whoever supports or rejects your scholastic funds. The funds are limited. We ask for your cooperation so that everyone has an opportunity to attend.
You need to send your completed scholarship application to your state chairman for funding. Your chairman will forward your application (if there is a remaining need) to NEACTC, and then it will be sent to NEMCI&A.
This is going to be a great year with new classes and programs. We welcome new students to Institute 1 and welcome back Institute 2, 3 and Academy students.
Keep watching for the 2010 brochure – NEMCI&A is an experience you don’t want to miss!

“No other program impressed me as much as the New England Clerks Institute. What collaboration, six states with a joint education/certification program. In addition, Clerks serve as Institute Directors! This is a program that is 34 years old and still going strong. The commitment I saw in Clerks was phenomenal. New England is a model program of Clerks serving Clerks. “
