Eileen P. Corcoran - Ms. Corcoran is the Executive Director of the Vermont Museum & Gallery Alliance. In this capacity her responsibilities include workshop development and presentation, and on site training of museum staff and volunteers.
Mary Jo Davis: Ms. Davis has a Masters Degree in Conservation and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Paper Conservation. She has presented numerous workshops on the Wet Salvage of Collections and has trained museum professionals nationwide in Conservation Emergency Response.
Robert M. Gibney - Mr. Gibney is principal of Gibney Associates, a consulting group in program planning/evaluation, restructurings and public relations for educational/social services organizations, on local, regional and state levels in private and public sectors. He holds a BA and MA in History and Political Science, with advanced studies in educational administration, and served over 20 years as headmaster at two New York independent schools. Mr. Gibney is active with historic preservation, conservation, and professional boards. Currently, Mr. Gibney is an adjunct faculty member at Vermont’s Green Mountain College, and is an elected town official serving as Chair of The Board of Listers in Dorset, Vermont.
John T. Hannington - Mr. Hannington is the Operations Manager for the U.S. Verifications Division of Kroll. He is retired from the U.S. Navy. He earned 3 Navy Achievement Medals, a Navy Commendation Medal, Master Training Specialist Certification, Enlisted Surface Warfare Designator, , and the Kuwaiti Freedom Medal. Mr. Hannington’s civilian employment includes Director of Technology, Technology Support Services Manager and Operations Manager. He also served a term as a Selectman for Orrington Maine. He teaches adult education classes in Excel, Access and Power Point.
Alvin (Al) Hurley: Al has always carried two parallel careers, sales and sales management and counseling and psychotherapy. He holds a Masters Degree in Education with a track in Counseling Psychology. Al owns ALH Power Writing and Training in Lowell, Massachusetts. He has an extensive portfolio of a variety of workshops and training events which he has designed and written. He has facilitated hundreds of adult workshops. Al is a skilled communicator and trainer.
Cheryl Lounsbury - Ms. Lounsbury has worked in both the private and public sectors for over 30 years. Currently she is VP of Business Development at Andrew Associates in Enfield, CT. She is also a part- time faculty member at Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT, where she teaches a Masters level course titled “The Power of Communication”. Ms. Lounsbury was formerly a manager at Aetna in Hartford, CT, the publisher of “The Hartford Business Journal”, a Southington, CT Town Council member and an English teacher at Southington High School.
Pamela F. Mangini: Ms. Mangini has worked in the public sector for over 25 years and has considerable experience in the financial and organizational management of municipal government, police management and public education. She has a Master of Business Administration degree from Quinnipiac University and has most recently served as the Director of Finance and Administration for the Town of Orange, Connecticut. She is currently the business administrator for the Derby, Connecticut Public Schools. Ms. Mangini has also held elected office, serving three terms as a member of the Board of Education, one term as chairperson.
Dr. Clyde McKee, Jr. - Dr. McKee has been a professor of political science at Trinity College in Hartford, CT for 44 years. He is also the author of numerous books and articles. He is the founder and past president of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration and past president of the New England Political Science Association. Dr. McKee has been a citizen ambassador to both China and Cuba. In addition to writing numerous op-ed articles for The Hartford Courant, he appears as a political commentator on various television shows. Dr. McKee has been on the faculty of NEMCI&A since its inception.
Kerry Murphy - Ms. Murphy is a principle in The Consultants, K Sickler-Murphy, a records management consulting group. She has a strong background in marketing and finance and was the president of a space design planning company. Ms. Murphy holds a bachelor’s degree from R.P.I, Troy, New York and is a past member of numerous local boards, including the YMCA and Zoning Board. Ms. Murphy has been recognized in several newspapers and magazines for her creative use of space and incorporation of ergonomics. In 2000, she was awarded the local Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Noreen Reilly - Noreen Reilly is the owner of Reilly Training Resources, LLC in Newington, CT. Ms. Reilly offers training programs in: communication and presentation skills, leadership, creativity, and customer service for businesses, colleges, and government agencies. Ms. Reilly has a BS in Business Administration and has done extensive graduate work in counseling psychology. She is currently on the board of directors for the National Speakers Association (NSA) – New England Chapter and is a member of the NSA – Connecticut. She is the coordinator and facilitator for the 2009 Fast Track Speaker’s Academy.
Attorney E. Jack Shorr - Attorney Shorr is a partner in the law firm of Luby Olson, P.C. A practicing attorney for over 34 years, Jack graduated from the University Of Connecticut School Of Law. While there, he earned the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in Legal Process in Society. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Connecticut. Jack has taught business law at Post College and has vast experience representing clients in both the public and private sectors.
Kathy Sickler - Ms. Sickler is a principle in The Consultants KSickler-Murphy, a records management consulting group. KSickler-Murphy has consulted on records management projects for local governments throughout New York and Connecticut. Ms. Sickler is a former Town Clerk. She has over 20 years experience in Records Management and Office Administration. Ms. Sickler received a top New York State award for excellence in record management, and received international recognition for outstanding leadership in Records Management from IIMC. Ms. Sickler holds the RMC (Registered Municipal Clerk) and CMC (Certified Municipal Clerk) designations.
Kathleen Slivka - Ms Slivka has over 19 years of experience as a computer training and support professional. She is the owner of Computer Training Partners; LLC a software consulting company in CT. Ms. Slivka was an adjunct instructor at Western Connecticut State University for ten years. Ms Slivka’s skills include teaching software efficiencies to improve business processes, developing curriculum and computer-based interactive training materials and performing end user training for software applications. Ms Slivka received a BA from Bates College and an MBA in finance and management from the University of Oregon.
Barbara Tarbox - Ms. Tarbox was the Town Clerk in Groton, Connecticut for 24 years. She also served as the Clerk of the Council, Clerk of the Representative Town Meeting, and Registrar of Vital Statistics. Ms. Tarbox has a mathematics degree from Boston College, and a Master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Rhode Island. Prior to becoming Town Clerk, Barbara was a Library Director for 7 years. Barbara is a Master Municipal Clerk, and was the Curriculum Director for 3 years at the New England Municipal Clerks Institute. She became a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians in 1995, and qualified for Registered Parliamentarian in 2001. Barbara has presented programs for the Connecticut Town Clerk School, New England Association of City and Town Clerks, Massachusetts City and Town Clerks, as well as for individual municipalities.
Jay Uhler - Mr. Uhler is an Industrial and Clinical Psychologist, a United Methodist Minister and the President of Catalyst World-Wide, a corporate and Personal Development Company. He is a Professional Speaker, a consultant, and has been a guest on radio and TV programs. Mr. Uhler has provided conflict Resolution services to individuals and businesses, and coordinated the Dispute Resolution Forum for the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. He has been a guest lecturer at Suffolk and Boston University Law Schools, the Boston Bar Association and Dispute Resolution Conferences. As an entertainer, Jay uses stories, humor and songs to bring joy to his audiences. He is the author of How to Make Friends with Your Feelings.
Patricia L. Vaillancourt - Pat is a skilled trainer and career coach with exceptional communication skills. She graduated cum laude from Salem State College and currently works with a variety of colleges, the military, and numerous state agencies as a Career trainer. She has presented workshops in all areas of career assessment and job search skills and provides coaching and resume development. She has received many awards including those given to her at the President Clinton conference and by Governor Dukakis.
